Growing up, I was a girly-girl who was always playing with dolls. From Barbies and Bratz to Chinese paper dolls, I had them all. My favorite thing about them was the clothing that gave them each their unique character. I became obsessed with anything and everything that had to do with fashion. Trips to the library would end with me having borrowed dozens of books about fashion design, illustration, the history of fashion, and careers in the fashion industry. Through these books I discovered that I could design my own clothes using croquis. Soon I had notebooks filled with fashion sketches. But that's all they were -- sketches. For my concentration I want to experiment with a variety of materials to bring those sketches to life.
